Joe and I recently bought a house in Kent, WA. We moved from Capitol Hill in Seattle and man, oh man, has it been an adjustment.
In our apartment, we had a gorgeous view of the whole city. We could go up on our building's roof and see even more - including the Puget Sound and Mount Rainier.
So, it goes without saying, when we started the house hunting process, having a view was high on my priority list. I didn't think it would be possible, especially since all of the homes in our budget were so far from the city.
I remember pulling up to our house for the first time and thinking it was really cute. But then Joe touched my shoulder and said "look to your left." I turned my head and immediately burst into tears. Mount Rainier was in perfect view!
I cannot tell you how thankful I am every day when I get to see this glorious mountain and how much happiness it brings me. I've been climbing on our roof on various days to snap photos of the mountain in all her glory, but pictures don't seem to do it justice!
